About Stigma and Style I have been a botanist and horticulturalist for most of my life. With the same passion and enthusiasm I have had for the plant world, I began to seriously study glass five years ago. I have been a glass blower/flameworker since then. I focus on color and texture and try to capture shapes that mimic nature. I have created a series of glass objects that I call Collaged Glass that layers color inside of clear glass. I use only recycled glass for these pieces, and strive to make them interesting from all angles and sides. Some of my pieces have a secret color that can only be viewed in the dark. My borosilicate jewelry is the result of the interaction between nature and emotion-swirls, layered windows, and organic shapes. The color palette of 'boro' is like painting with electric rainbows of pure color and we have Suellen Fowler to thank for that. All of my work is one of a kind-just like every leaf on every plant.
